Steel Frame Structures
DRM Fabrications provide a full on site service for all your Steel Frame Structure requirements.
In simple terms the construction of a Steel Frame Structure involves two principal operations: fabrication and erection. Steel Frame Structure fabrication involves the processing of raw materials to form the finished members of the structure.
Steel Frame Structure erection includes all rigging, hoisting, or lifting of members to their proper places in the structure and making the finished connections between members.
A wide variety of structures are erected using structural steel. Basically, they can be listed as buildings, bridges, and towers; most other structures are modifications of these three. <top>
Decorative canopies, balustrades, handrails, high quality gates and railings including fully automatic gates and even decorative sculptures. If there is architectural metalwork on your project DRM Fabrications can provide a service to match. <top>
Internal & External Staircases, ladders and platforms are manufactured in accordance with current British Standards and are specifically designed to comply with Health & Safety requirements. They are typically manufactured in stainless or mild steel and can be finished through painting, galvanising or both.
Platforms can be supplied with self closing gates, ensuring that access is restricted according to site regulations. Perimeter handrailing is designed to offer safety without restricting practical usage of the platform. Kicking edges around the platform stops kit being accidentally knocked off the platform and creating a hazard for those underneath.
Access to platforms can be provided by vertical cage ladders with built in fall prevention systems or through conventional stairing systems. Where necessary, DRM Fabrications can assist in producing risk assessments for "Internal & External Staircases or ladder" decisions. <top>

Sedum Roofs
An interesting feature of modern buildings, particularly school design is the use of sedum roofs. A sedum roof is like a living carpet of low-growing succulents – plants with thick fleshy leaves and stems. This makes them suitable for growing in the inhospitable conditions found on a roof.
Sedum roofs not only look good, are also good insulators, as well as allowing plants and flowers to seed naturally, blending the building with its surroundings. <top>
DRM Fabrications, offer a wide range of Roof & Wall Cladding Services. This could be in conjunction with one of our other services or where existing roof and wall cladding is failing or alternately provided to give the external appearance of a building a contemporary look. <top>
